Scuba Diving Holidays in Micronesia, Polynesia and South Pacific

Micronesia, Polynesia and the South Pacific are synonymous with remote island escapes, picturesque beaches lapped by warm tropical waters teeming with coral reefs and marine life. The area encompasses thousands of islands from Palau, the Mariana Islands and Caroline Islands in the northeast through the Soloman Islands, Vanuata, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands south to New Zealand and all the way west to Hawaii and Easter Island.

The diving is spectacular with a great variety of sites, from the 60 plus wrecks of Truk, to the Golden Jellyfish dive in Palau, pristine reefs in Fiji to the pelagic encounters of Hawaii.  Visibility seems to be a constant with 30m plus at certain times of year making the area popular with underwater photographers.  The remoteness of many of the dive sites gives a sense of excitement and exploration, and this also means fewer divers visit and therefore the dive sites are less crowded, making liveaboards a fantastic option for the serious diver.

  • Palau has some of the best and most varied diving in the world, with steep walls, WWII wrecks and a huge variety of marine life including some great chances to dive with Reef Sharks.  Palau also has a unique lake snorkeling trip, with millions of stingless jellyfish.
  • The volcanic islands of Hawaii have fantastic coral reefs teeming with life, with excellent chances to dive with Manta Rays, Reef Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks and even the giant Whale Shark and a host of macro to discover.
  • Fiji is made up of nearly a thousand islands and islets, with great diving best explored on a liveaboard.  There are stunning corals, and pelagic encounters to be had. The islands are on the migration path of Humpback Whales moving from their feeding grounds in the Southern Ocean to socialise, mate and hunt.
